The closest stretch of soft golden sand to the residence — a wide, gently shelving beach that runs for kilometres along the bay. Sunbeds and umbrellas, beach cafés and watersports line the shore, and the sunsets over the Aegean are the kind you'll remember. Perfect for a slow swim day or a sundowner after the pool.

Kuşadası's lively old town wraps around a pretty harbour, with Pigeon Island (Güvercinada) and its little Byzantine-Ottoman castle reached by a short causeway. Wander the bazaar, grab gözleme on the seafront, then walk out to the island for panoramic views of the bay and a coffee with the cruise ships drifting past.

An 18-hole, par-72 championship course laid out across rolling pine-clad hills above the bay. Designed to follow the natural contours of the land, the course offers wide fairways, dramatic elevation changes and quiet sea views from almost every tee. A favourite winter and shoulder-season escape for European golfers.

Two of Türkiye's largest waterparks sit between the residence and Long Beach. Adaland is a full-day affair with one of the longest slide systems in Europe, a wave pool and a dolphin lagoon. Aqua Fantasy adds a thermal spa zone, making it a strong choice for families travelling in shoulder season.

A protected peninsula of pine forest, limestone cliffs and four small Aegean coves with translucent water. Inside the park you'll find marked hiking trails, picnic areas and the cleanest swimming on this stretch of coast. Pack snorkels and a long lunch — the bays at İçmeler and Karasu are unforgettable.

The waters off Kuşadası and the Dilek Peninsula are some of the clearest on the Turkish coast — protected coves, dramatic drop-offs, ancient amphorae and reliable summer visibility of 20–30 m. PADI dive centres on Long Beach and in town run guided dives, intro sessions for beginners and full open-water certification courses.

A whitewashed Greek-style village in the hills above Selçuk, Şirince is famous for its handmade fruit wines, narrow cobbled lanes and panoramic vine-shaded restaurants. Spend a slow afternoon tasting cherry and pomegranate wine, browsing the village handicrafts and lunching on köfte under the plane trees.

One of the best-preserved Roman cities in the Mediterranean and a UNESCO World Heritage Site. The marble-paved Curetes Street, the Library of Celsus and the Great Theatre are unmissable; the optional Terrace Houses (with their intact frescoes) are the highlight for many visitors. Go early or late to skip the cruise-ship rush.
